Does my Android device have NFC?
How to check if your device has NFC functionality
Using Contactless Payments in CabCard Go
To accept contactless card payments through the CabCard Go app, your Android device needs NFC support.
What is NFC?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It's the wireless tech that enables contactless payments between your phone and payment cards.
Checking for NFC:
Before installing the CabCard Go app, verify your Android phone model supports NFC. Here's how:
Go to your phone's Settings menu
Search for NFC or tap "Connections"
Look for an NFC option and ensure it is enabled
If you don't see NFC in your phone's settings, your device likely doesn't support contactless payments.
Would you want to check that now?
Please navigate from your Home page to :
Settings → Connected devices → Connection Preferences → NFC available? If yes, please ensure this is also toggled to ‘on’.
Would you prefer to see a short video clip instead?
