Additional Tips

If your terminal's chip reader is not reading cards, here are some steps you can take to identify and resolve the issue:

Check for Obstructions

  • Inspect the Card Slot: Carefully look inside the card slot for any visible obstructions such as dirt, dust, or debris. These can interfere with the card reader’s ability to read the chip.
  • Use a Flashlight: Using a small flashlight can help you see inside the card slot more clearly.

Test with Multiple Cards

  • Try Different Cards: Sometimes, the issue might be with the card itself rather than the terminal. Test the chip reader with multiple cards to see if the problem persists with all cards or just one.

Additional Tips

  • Regular Maintenance: Periodically check and clean the card slot to prevent buildup of dirt and debris.
  • Proper Handling: Handle cards and the terminal with care to avoid damage. Avoid inserting cards forcefully or at an angle.

If you have followed all these steps and the chip reader still does not read cards, please contact our customer support team for further assistance.
